INVETERATE MEDIA JUNKIES TOP 100™ Best Selling Comic Books, Hardcovers & Trades for October 2011

Check out the IMJ Nation™ Season Two Podcast #2 for more of our thoughts on what we knew far in advance was already going to be a DC COMICS ROUT of their less than Marvel-ous competition. Despite what Marvel wags would have you believe, DC Comics has cleaned their clocks… And in a BIG WAY.

Their performance is all the more impressive given the fact that this seismic shift was accomplished in a moribund market… And it seems as if DC’s “high tide” has raised ALL boats… With Marvel seeing increased sales because DC brought lapsed collectors back into comic stores.

You’re welcome, Marvel. Not that you’ll EVER admit it.

  1. (mguy1977) Matthew Guy says:

Yeah DC ruling in the house!!!

    That is great news.

    Matthew

  2. Instead of Estimate Sales they use Order Index..So when are the “real” numbers coming out?
My guess is that the first 6 books went over 100k..Did JL went over 150k?

  3. Morlock50 says:

I’d wish that Marvel would admit it, because this is good for the entire industry. This is actually more exciting than Sept. Numbers, because it means there is some carryover interest in the stories, and not just speculators driving the push.

  4. I really love seeing ASM dipping closer and closer out of the top-30. Why the hell is Punisher so low? I also like seeing Daredevil in the top-20 Marvel books.

  5. liquid revolver says:

Do you think Marvel will come up with another bull s#!t reason for why they only have 3 books in the top 20; if so I would love to have them choke on it.
