Magnificent Minimalist Miyazaki Movie Posters

You do not need to be a fan of Japanese animation to be appreciate the films of Hayao Miyazaki. His work transcends the anime genre and holds its own up against any live-action film ever produced. I believe you would be very hard-pressed to find a single director’s films that balance creativity, imagination, emotion and the fantastical better than Miyazaki. It is because of all of these things that I was very pleased to come across what I did today.

The minimalist film posters down below, based on Mizyazi’s films, were posted on the an excellent website called The Art of Animation. This site is probably my favorite find on the internet in quite a while. It posts art done in multiple types of media from creators all over the world. I spent over an hour on the site earlier today and still want to go back to check out some more. Seriously, if you are a fan of art you owe it to yourself to spend some time over at The Art of Animation site.
