Here’s some Prometheus news I need to get caught up on from the last week and a half.

The first bit of news comes in the form of a new viral video focusing on the character of Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace). There are a couple of interesting things about this viral vid. Unlike the TED Talk and David virals, this one seems to tie in directly with the film as a prelude of sorts. Another point of interest: The “Quiet Eye” tech is created by Yutani– the business Weyland Industries eventually merges with to become The Weyland-Yutani Corp from the Alien films.

And, I’m just throwing this out there, but this Quiet Eye tech slightly feels a bit like the Voight-Kampff machine found in Blade Runner (also directed by Ridley Scott). It is most likely that this is a pure coincidence but maybe there is more to this viral than appears.

Or maybe that’s just the geek in me talking.

The last bit of news I wanted to catch you all up on was that Entertainment Weekly ran a bunch of new images for the film in their May 11th issue. You can find all of those images after the jump.
