Hands down Fatale is my favorite. In a close second is the American Vampire variant cover.

      Hey, Stamps!

Yeah, this week was nutz… Image had a different cover for Fatale #6… But several sites (which normally take ACTUAL PICS of the ACTUAL COMICS) had this red/orange cover as THE cover for Fatale. It’ll probably sell out and both covers will be used eventually. :)

Amazing Fantasy 15 is still THE iconic Spider-Man cover, rarely has a character been introduced so dynamically to the public. The Atomic Robo covers are great, the Firestorm cover is pretty damn good too, probably because it seems to have been influenced by Phillipe Druillet.

What the fuck is up with the first Hit-Girl cover though, is John Romita Jr drawing in super-deformed style now or something?

    • Insideman says:

LM, you know I’m a big fan of John Romita JR… But I am becoming increasing depressed at the road his art is taking… Not to mention some of the ass-hats he chooses to continuously work with.

      • Locusmortis says:

I’m a huge fan of Romita Jr’s and in the last 3 years or so his art is getting worse and worse, that hit girl cover is one of the worst things I’ve seen in ages.

  3. J. says:

Fuck that first Amazing Spider-Man cover. Seriously. Fuck the editors at Marvel as well for letting that thing see print.

Wow… that cover really has angered me.

    • Insideman says:

Glad I could help “make” your evening. ;)

No surprise– it upset me too. I was equally upset with the regular cover for Spider-men #2… Actually putting Peter and Miles on the “same” footing… As two halves of the same coin. Peter has been around for 50 years. Miles has been around for only several months. There is no comparison in experience or emotional depth between the two characters.

Maybe in another 50 years… But I doubt comics (as we know them) will be around then. I know I won’t.

    • J. says:

And Holy Shit on that Hawkman cover. What…the…fuck…

    • Spider-Man’s giraffe-neck on that cover has been bugging me for months.
