Has anyone read any of Adrian Tomine’s Optic Nerve work? It’s mostly realistic poignant slice of life short stories. I haven’t read them all but the stuff I have read, I enjoy very much.
I’ve read them and think they are great. Issue #12 came out last year and it was one of the best comics for me in 2011.
The most recent one I read was #11. I think it’s a shame that he isn’t better known. There are a lot of fans that are obsessed with making superheroes “adult” or “realistic,” but Tomine’s comics actually ARE realistic.
