For the record, Jose did all the heavy lifting on this week’s Rate the Covers! post… And I can attest, it ain’t easy.

Thanks for all the hard work, Jose! Nice to see one of hottest posts back in action.

  2. Locusmortis says:

Did all those X-comics come out in the same week?

oh and the BRASS NIPPLES are back!

  3. Blanchard says:

With all the hype for Marvel Now, I just assumed AvX was finished. It feels like that series has been going forever.

    • J. says:

Heh, I thought the exact same thing a couple of weeks ago. I think there is still one more issue after this week. It does seem a bit ridiculous that that last six months of Marvel comics have been devoted to that shit.

In my opinion, Stumptown and Team 7 have the best covers. The first one conveys the typical “indie comic atmosphere” (it is something that can’t be explained, but those who read them can instantly see what I mean); the second one immediately enlightens the dynamic and plucky nature of the series.
I’m glad to know that Arcudi is writing a new series: he’s a wonderful writer.

    The good ones:
Adventure Time Marcelin #3 Cover C
American Vampire: Lord of the Nightmares #4
It Girl and the Atomics #2
    Shade #12
    Stumptown Vol2 #1
    The Activity#8
    The Massive.

  6. I love that Grifter cover. Who needs a thumb to hold a gun???

  7. ed2962 says:

I think the It Girl variant looks fun. And even though I don’t read the comic, The Ultimate X-Men isn’t bad.
