So my new job allows me, when there is nothing to do (which is right now – super slow), to surf the internet. Bored I found the cover to Invincible 97… Awesome! Ryan Ottley is amazing. As is John Rauch on colours.

  2. Bayonetta 2 is going to be a Wii-U exclusive? Pff…

I spoiled myself with the Manhattan Projects TPB(Got the Skullkickers trade as well)..I know I said some bad things about Hickman, but I am now into issue 2 and its a pretty interesting and entertaining story, I hope he…oh never mind :-P

    • NicktheStick says:

The first Skullkickers trade? I love that series. Though I am behind on reading it (too many things going on), thanks for the reminder.

    • J. says:

I read that Bayonetta news earlier and I’m not very happy about it. I’ll probably do a post about it in the next couple of days.

      • Skinner Sweet says:

Yea Bayonetta 2 only for wii u kinda sucks I have to admit it made me want to buy a wii u though. I ended up pulling out my copy of Bayonetta and playing it some more after I heard this yesterday.

  3. Darkhawk is my favorite Marvel character. Has been for over 20 years. It says something about the current state of Marvel that I’m much happier when he’s in creative limbo. Because that means he’s not being fucked up by shitty writing & terrible ideas.

In other words, I’m really not happy that he’s being dragged into this Avengers Arena bullshit.

    • Locusmortis says:

Darkhawk due for reimagining in 2013 , New Darkhawk!

      I kid, I kid!

    • J. says:

Ah, Marvel is jumping on the kids killing kids bandwagon. How fucking original.

I do feel bad for you that Darkhawk is in this. I’ll feel even worse when he dies and Bendis makes Luke Cage the new Darkhawk.

  4. J. says:

Fucking hilarious. It’s getting more difficult in deciding who the bigger group of annoying fucktards are, Gamers or Comic Fanboys.

    • I hope Platinum sticks there guns hard to shut these idiots down, because I think the Gamer community now has an over-inflated sense of power after Mass Effect 3. I wish that it was going to be on Xbox myself, but if I need to play Bayonette that badly, I still have the first one which I could play over and over again.

      • J. says:

The thing these complainers don’t understand is that Bayonetta 2 was cancelled. SEGA’s been having monetary problems and didn’t want to produce it. Nintendo stepped in with money and are going to publish it. If it weren’t for Nintendo there would be no Bayonetta 2. But Nintendo doesn’t own the IP, SEGA does. There is a good chance that after the exclusivity window is up it will make it’s way to PS3 and 360. I could see Konami maybe putting it out since they are currently working with Platinum on Metal Gear Rising. We’ll have to wait a year at the most and the game will probably have stuff added to the later release as well.

        • And now knowing that Nintendo is footing the bill, it makes them seem even more ignorant to me. But I still comes back to a sense of entitlement. They think, “Well I bought the first one for this system, so I earned to have the second one n this system,” when business doesn’t work that way, Buy buying Bayonetta for Xbox they made sure they got Vanquish, Anarchy Reigns and Metal Gear Rising: Revengence.

But then again, that’s asking gamers to think in reality, which is not a strong suit for a number of them.

    • Locusmortis says:

they should have just reprinted the original teen titans issue, at least then the art would be good…

      • NicktheStick says:

Yeah when Slade and what-ser-name are sitting together, the Teen Titans one makes it look like they actually are cherishing a moment together. Liefeld’s just makes the women look like she just hates it there and in a minor discomfort. Horrible!

    • Blanchard says:

So the only time Liefeld can draw feet is when he’s tracing them. Great.

    • tomstewdevine says:

      Wow

  6. Locusmortis says:

This bit of election coverage made the news here. Mitt Romney’s campaign has been stopped from using Thin Lizzy’s songs like “The Boys are Back in Town” after Phil Lynott’s family found out about it and were appalled http://uk.news.yahoo.com/romney-faces-thin-lizzy-battle-131630843.html

  9. ed2962 says:

I thought this was interesting. This young lady seems to represent the new readers that Marvel and DC say they want to court with the movies and relaunches. She seems enthusiastic, but when she casually mentions things about comics she’s disappointed with, some are things that jaded fans talk about as well. Rising prices. Confusing continuity. Objectification that crosses the line

    Take heed. Big 2…

    • And I think that is what separates the fans from everyone else. I think all of us comic fans have dealt with it for so long over the years that even when it’s bad, we still gives some breathing room to fix itself. Where people new to comics have a hard time diving into these stories. Until DC and Marvel figure out how they did that from the 30′s through the 90′s, I think the only new people coming to comics will be young people predestined to be comic readers.

A very impressive, and even touching, video to watch! Reminds me why comics are the best medium ever constructed, and how powerful a tool they can be at bringing us all together. :)

YA adventure comes to NBC with revolution . the protagonist even has the girl with a boys name trope. its not terrible

  15. tomstewdevine says:

Mean Girls? Really? Hey you guys have guts.

    • J. says:

Sorry. It’s a funny movie, dude. I saw it in the theater and just watched it again on Netflix. Tina Fey wrote it and is also in it. It’s like an updated version of Heathers without all the teenage suicide/murders.

Don’t really need to have guts when you’re just being honest.

      • tomstewdevine says:

Sounds good man, I guess it was just very unexpected to see that at the bottom of the site. but that’s why I keep checking out what you guys put down there.
