The Sifl & Olly Show premiered on MTV in 1997. Three seasons were produced– but MTV cancelled it (for reasons unknown) after the second season. The Sifl & Olly Show was absolutely one of the last great things to ever air on MTV… Just before it morphed into the vast wasteland of shit that assaults you every time you accidentally stumble across it when channel surfing at 3 in the morning.

Thirteen years after the series’ demise, Sifl & Olly have returned with a new YouTube show called Sifl & Olly Video Game Reviews– courtesy of Machinima. It’s described as a show with real reviews for fake games. I have no idea how or why this is happening… But I’m quite stoked to see the sock puppet duo again… So I’m not going to question our sudden good fortune.

Make no mistake: This is the same ol’ Sifl and Olly Show– only in a new wrapper. Two episodes have been released so far (1 a week for the last 2 weeks), which leads me to believe this will be a weekly show for the foreseeable future. I have no idea how long it will last– but I plan to enjoy the hell out of every single minute of it while it does.
