The New Revengeance Video Game Trailer Will Get Your Metal Gear Rising [VIDEO]

Another Tokyo Game Show has come and gone. Seeing as I was quite wrapped up with the mundane daily goings on of my life late last week, I failed to post some new trailers which premiered at TGS 2012 during those days. Guess I’m going to have to remedy that situation, starting today.

Ah, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. “Real” Metal Gear fans seem to hate you, critics of Japanese game studio Platinum Games seem to hate you (and be particularly bitchy) and entitled gamers all across the World seem to hate you… But not for any good reasons. It’s just gamers need to always hate something for unknown reasons– and last week that ire and bitterness was reserved for Revengeance and Bayonetta 2… And both titles just happen to be games made by Platinum.

Coincidence? You decide.

I have been firmly behind Revengeance since day one. It looks like a delicious mash-up of Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta– with liberal doses of the corny dialogue that seems to reside in all Platinum created video games. So ya, it looks kinda perfect to me.

If the game ends up being less than good, so be it. But let me tell you, Revengeance will give me something I never even knew I wanted: The possibility of owning a Raiden action figure with Pancho and Sombrero accessories. This needs to happen as soon as possible. Please.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released February 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
