About 1 minute into watching the Tokyo Game Show trailer for SEGA’s Yakuza 5, my brain began to melt. Never before has a video game trailer packed so much crazy awesome shit into a such a short amount of time. I’ve watched this thing about 10 times already and I believe that is the bare minimum amount of viewings it will take to soak up every little detail found within the trailer.

From what I could gather, it looks like there will be 5 main stories that take place in 5 different cities– with each one being distinctly different from the last. The amount of minutiae the player can come across is completely mind-numbing. I seriously think that I could play this game for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.

Plus I have always wanted to live through the drama, turmoil and endless street dance battles that Japanese Idols need to endure on a daily basis. Thank you Yakuza 5 for finally giving me that chance.

Yakuza 5 is scheduled to be released in Japan on December 6th exclusively for the PS3.
