The LIGHTER SIDE of The Walking Dead TV Show

Man, there really was some stupid shit going on this season in the Walking Dead.

Ian and I have probably talked on the phone about all this dumb shit enough to fill five podcasts. (Note to self: Do an IMJ Nation™ podcast about this season of the Walking Dead in the near future.).

It seems Ian and I were not the only ones noticing the rising tide of stupidity that Rick and company were carelessly exercising. The Laughing Dead website is showcasing some of the better Walking Dead TV show memes that are floating around the internet. I’ve collected a small smattering for you here.

Don’t get me wrong, for the most part I still enjoy the show… But damn, the writers are currently running it into the ground. After the last few episodes, I really am missing the expertise of ex-show runner Frank Darabont.

Sigh… Sometimes we need to laugh to keep from crying, right?

God, those were funny! Wish they weren’t all true though.

I think the Boba Fett one is my favorite

The show can be ‘face-palmy’ at times, but I still love it. If I want good writing I can always count on Justified, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men…which is FINALLY back on TV this Sunday. If I want dumb fun, I can count on Walking Dead. I’m a Darabont fan but I have to admit that I’m liking the Mazzara era a little more, even though the writing is still all over the place. Lori can’t seem to become a likeable character. Hopefully season 3 will have it’s head out of its ass.

  4. I’m so glad that both the comic and season didn’t do enough to keep me watching. There is enough angst about TV shows I like to add another onto the pile before Finale season.
