Time To Dust Off Your Copy of Metal Gear Solid 4!

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was initially released in June of 2008… Right around the same time Playstation 3 began implementing game Trophy support (Sony’s version of Achievements). Given the timing, there was unfortunately no way to get the new trophy system built into the game.

Now, four years later– just in time for Metal Gear’s 25th Anniversary— Trophy support finally made it to MGS4 on Monday. It’s not like I need a reason to go back and revisit the game– but this update kinda makes it impossible for me not to replay it as soon as possible.

If you’ve never played any of the Metal Gear series, now is a really good time to start. You can buy Metal Gear Solid 4 for only $19.99, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (which includes Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, the once exclusive to PSP Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker and the original Metal Gear 1 & 2) for $29.99… And Metal Gear Solid is available on PSN for only $9.99.

$60 USD is a small price to pay to catch up and experience 25 years worth of the best video game series ever created.

I was thinking of rebuying for the trophies but I have to many games to catch up on and to little time to do so. I do however have the hd collection on my vita.

One of the other things that the update does is that it gives you the option to install the whole game at the beginning instead of waiting for it to install shit between chapters.
