Screen Junkies’ Honest Trailers – The Avengers [VIDEO]

Okay, I know it’s  currently kewl to rant against The Avengers.
You can poke holes through almost any movie– especially science fiction and superhero films– because they are fiction based on the fantastical.

That said, this is hilarious.

I especially liked the Names of the Heroes in the credit sequence at the end.

I don’t know – I think they should have used a better “Movie Preview Voiceover Guy” – a more “serious” one. I felt a lot of good lines sounded kinda stupid.

    • Insideman says:

I thought the video “review” was the video equivalent of a Mad Magazine parody. Which makes sense… That’s where all that humor is going now.

      • J. says:

I agree. I think these Honest Trailers are total parodies. Having someone actually being serious would kind of defeat the purpose since these are meant to be snarky. I enjoyed this trailer more than I enjoyed the actual movie. At least something good came out of making an Avengers film.

        • Jon (of aCBL) says:

Snarky is a good word. This parody trailer was entertaining however did have some good points. I thought the Gay Bane part at the end was pretty good hahaha.

  2. Allfather says:

I get that then – I’m just not familiar with the Honest Trailer parodies. I just thought it would actually be more snarky (and therefore more funnier) if it used a more “serious/legitimate” voiceover.
