I saw the 30 second ad for this train wreck and was i the only saying to himself “Is there one too many characters in this crapfest?”

  2. I like how the two 30 second Super Bowl ads for this movie don’t even hide the fact that Gwen is most likely going to die in this movie… Also, the Peter Parker/Aunt May scenes shown in this trailer look HORRIBLE.

The only redeeming thing I can see from what they’ve shown us so far is the action. It looks like the action is going to be fun to watch. But that doesn’t amount to anything if the story sucks. Hopefully when I see the full version, I’ll be pleased with how this turns out. But as of right now I’m very nervous for this movie right now as it looks to be heading dangerously towards Spider-Man 3 territory…

I’ve been told I am a hard person to impress…but this trailer does absolutely nothing for me. Feels more like The Shitty Ultimate Spider-Man than The Amazing Spider-Man. Everything in this is so ‘meh’ it’s almost impossible to believe. Crappy CGI, crappy charter designs and crappy Aunt May/Pete scenes.

Does anyone know if I need to see the first movie to ‘enjoy’ this one… because I still haven’t seen it yet. I have a feeling I’ll be totally lost because of the 27 different characters that this movie seems to focus on.

Unless you’re desperate to see someone other than Marvel screw up Spidey, there’s absolutely no reason to sit through The Amazing Spider-Man.

    • Mark O'Brien says:

Glad I wasn’t alone in skipping the first movie. After Spider-Man 3 and the less than awe inspiring trailers for the first reboot I just couldn’t bring myself to check out this new version of Spidey.

I was a bit intrigued when I saw Jamie Fox was involved in this new movie. However it looks like they are rehashing the old obsessive fan, who gains super powers and then turns on his hero story line that seems to have been done to death(at least to me). And the Rino as a giant mech, complete with machine guns and rockets, really?

I would say I will wait to watch it on Netflix, but none of the Spider-Man movies appear to be available for streaming at this time.
